James P. Dunigan

James P. Dunigan is executive vice president and managing executive, Investments for the PNC Asset Management Group. Dunigan has announced his retirement effective mid-2016 and will be transitioning his responsibilities for investment strategy, investment and segment management, investment product, portfolio and risk management, investment solutions group as well as PNC Capital Advisors.

Dunigan joined Provident National Bank, a predecessor company to The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., in 1987 as a portfolio manager in the Trust & Investment Management Division responsible for personal trust and investment advisory accounts. Prior to joining PNC, he served as an account executive with Prudential Bache Securities for three years.  He began his career in 1974 as a design engineer for the United Engineers and Constructors. In 1975, he joined Joseph T. Ryerson Steel Company serving in various sales and management positions for the next nine years.

Dunigan is a member of the board of directors and past chairman of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia.  He is also a member of the board of directors of the Union League of Philadelphia.  He previously served as trustee of the Malvern Preparatory School, was a member of the board for Chester County Community Foundation and was president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Villanova Alumni Association.  He is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the National Association of Corporate Directors.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (1974) from Villanova University and has pursued post graduate work in Finance at Drexel University.
